Lucas Farms has been home to governors, inventors, architects, artists, authors, scientists, factory workers, farmers, and more. The homes that make up the neighborhood include a huge and eclectic variety of architectural styles and unique varieties and mixes of those styles that reflect the builders’ and owners’ taste, personality, and practical needs. This rich heritage and diversity is what makes our neighborhood worth celebrating. This website has been created as a resource for Lucas Farms’ residents - new and established - as well as those who are curious about this rich corner of Iowa City.
